You just stepped on my respect mate!!

Oh those Irish!! This exclamation will be used for ages whenever someone will talk about world cup. Things were not and were never going to be in their favor.
They were rates as less amongst the lesser equals. They came close to gaining some respect against Bangladesh, however it resulted in so close yet so far kind of result. In the next game, England gave them virtually no chance as Brits self-rated excellence was on display in the field against the much talked about heavy weights like India. The confidence the English took away from the tied game was visible in the punches and pushes that their batsmen were using to score against hapless Irish attack.
However, much known for their fighting skills, Irish men very rightfully earned the tag of Giant-Killers. They were left bruised after England's 327 and the start they got was anything but encouraging.
Ed Joyce did little to boost the run rate and played the role of a Dravid look alike to the perfection. Stirling played a nice cameo. Their 2007 hero Niall O'Brian got a good start but failed to capitalize on it. However, just when Englan decided to take them easily, they somehow stepped on the Irish respect and there came a Giant walking down to the field with whirling the bat like a sword and you are most welcome to punch me if I lie that he proved himself as the Gladiator that Irish were looking for.
This Cup is really on boys and it took 5 Indian heads to save the match and avoid Irish another well deserved victory.
